How it all began…

WHERE DID WE FIRST MEET?
On Hinge — the modern-day Cupid. The funny thing is, we later realised we’d been living practically round the corner from each other the whole time. So really, fate just needed Wi-Fi to do its thing.
WHAT WERE OUR FIRST THOUGHTS?
(Abbie) “Wow, he’s really tall… and he can reverse park like an absolute pro.”
(Craig) “I think I might be on a date with Where’s Wally…” — Abbie was wearing a red-and-white striped top, so the resemblance was uncanny.
WHO ASKED WHO OUT ON THE FIRST DATE?
Craig made the first move and asked me out — proving chivalry isn’t dead, it just has a smartphone.
Where was the first date?
We went for a walk around Nene Park, then ended up at The Woodman Pub, which overlooks a golf course.
In hindsight, I should have known then I was doomed to spend my weekends at a golf course.
FUNNIEST MEMORY TOGETHER?
That time Craig accidentally became an assassin… to our family pet.
A stick insect.
Don’t worry, I’ll elaborate later — but let’s just say David Attenborough would not have approved.
BEST MEMORY TOGETHER?
For us, it’s Eloise.
Honestly, everything since she arrived — becoming a family has been the best adventure we’ve ever had.
One particular highlight?
Craig and I once danced around the living room like complete lunatics to make Eloise smile… she just stared at us with the kind of unimpressed face that says, “Wow… this is my life now.”
And the rest is history…
From that moment on, life has been a mix of big milestones, little everyday joys, and plenty of laughter along the way.
We’ve built a home, welcomed Eloise into our world, and somehow survived the chaos of parenthood with only minor coffee-related injuries.
There have been adventures, quiet nights in, and more than a few “what were we thinking?” moments — but through it all, we’ve been side by side.
And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
